The Covenant of Love
God’s lovingkindness is covenant.
His love towards us is declared on every page, every word. The bible isn’t inspired to show God’s greatness but the greatness of His love. His greatest declaration throughout the bible is His love towards us.
Oh what Joy, what blessedness of eternal life available today if only we look and see Jesus as He truly is. For the more that we behold Him, the more we become like Him, the more we become like Him, the more we become that expression, that reflection of His love.
Jesus died for you 2000 years ago, that He might live for you today. As He intercedes before the Father, your name is upon His lips.
His thoughts are not our thoughts; His ways are not our ways. His love is such that if we fall, the first hand outstretched to pick us up is His. His loving kindness reaches through the ages, declares you washed in His blood, without spot or wrinkle.
When King David sinned. He didn’t first appeal to the mercy of God but he appealed to the lovingkindness of God. King David may never have read Hebrews 4:17 but he was a man acquainted with His God.
Heb 4:16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Truly His loving kindness is better than life
It is this very lovingkindness that demands the life reserved for you is nothing less than the extraordinary. The love of Jesus is extravagant and His goodness outrageous.
Greater is He who is in you because greater is He who loves you. You are His answer to those around you. His greatest joy is when your shadow will heals the sick, when the words of your mouth bind up the broken hearted.
Jesus doesn’t call you servant but He calls you friend, He calls you brother. As you co-labor with Him, you will see greater miracles.
He has called you, qualified you and sent you. That you would be that light that shines in the darkness that light upon a hill that will radiate His eternal love.
